Monument to Ernesto Teodoro Moneta
The Monument to Ernesto Teodoro Moneta is a Carrara marble sculpture located in Milan’s public gardens. The statue of Ernesto Teodoro Moneta was made in 1920 by Tullio Brianzi, who donated it to the Society for International Peace and Justice. It could only be placed in the public gardens in 1924. The planned unveiling for 19 June 1924 was postponed to 29 June following the killing of Giacomo Matteotti. The monument was removed in 1937 after the dissolution of the peace society, and it was restored after the Second World War when the association was re-established.
