The Dancing Girl in Warsaw
The Dancing Girl is a 1927 bronze statue by Stanisław Jackowski, located in Skaryszew Park in Warsaw, Poland. Unveiled on 6 August 1927, it depicts a female dancer in an ecstatic pose, standing on her toes with her arms raised and her head tilted back. The figure wears a light dress with the left breast exposed. The sculpture was based on dancer Halina Szmolcówna, who posed for the work. It stands 165 cm high, weighs 235 kg, and is mounted on a tall stone pedestal in the centre of a rose garden in Saska Kępa, in the district of Praga-South.
