Monument of Eupatoria Assault

Monument of Eupatoria Assault is a memorial cemetery monument dedicated to the participants who died in the 1942 Eupatoria landing. It is located at the 58th kilometer of the Simferopol–Eupatoria highway, near the site where the minesweeper T-405 Vzryvatel was destroyed. The monument was opened in 1970, replacing an earlier concrete sailor monument from the 1950s. The new three-figure sculptural composition was unveiled on 7 June 1970 and was created by sculptor N. I. Bratsun with architects V. N. Eniosov and S. I. Kulev. The names of 58 people buried in the mass grave are known. The monument later received protected status and was designated a monument of history in 2012.
